Hello. Well, uh, been a long time. I have been eating, sleeping, and getting 7 out of 20 merit badges handed out at the COH. I am also now a patrol leader. I have been playing Knights of the Old Republic. I once found a droid, that the first thing he said was: Hello, Master. Is there something I should kill for you? Haha. Right now I am reading Hank the Cowdog. I am obviously bored. He is singing about a flea drilling into his behind. Yeah. Well.
We are planning on going to Sunrise Acres for Christmas with the Rainsfords. I am probably only going to get books, movies, and more books.
We have a team Christmas party at our house today. We will have snax, probably play video games, and maybe watch a Christmas movie. It will be much smaller without the Rainsfords. :(
Dad and I are going to have a 'growing-up' weekend in January.
Well, that's the news. I'll be going now. Maybe I can even go to Joel's this afternoon.

Randomness and Hi

Give me Uhuru, or give me Fa! I have to memorize all of Patrick Henry's speech for school! In Kiswahili! not really, but still, it is sooo long. I just took two tests today, Math and Science. They went quite well. Joel came over yesterday and we goofed off like pyromaniacs and did a lot of wierd videos. Joel be nimble, Joel be quick, Joel jump over the fireplace. If you put that in slow motion it is pretty sweet. Sorry, I am really rambling. I just bought a new Xbox game today. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It only cost me 700 ksh. Ben, you might be reading this, it is a really cool game. An RPG. I can't wait to see you in February.

My Dental Appointment...AAAHH

I had a dentist appointment on Monday. All the school I had to do was Math and Science! But, oh, man it hurt soooo bad. He was crankin' that wire on, heat-activated. Man, I know enough about dentistry t0 be one myself. He was pushing and pushing on my already tender tooth, kept switching wires and then doing it again. I was in tears by the end of it. I have never had an appointment that hurt so stinkin' much. Ah, well, we went to Java afterwards and had chips and a milkshake. I will survive, but now I have a terrible ulcer...

My Last Campout

I went on a Boy Scout campout to Lukenya on Saturday. We repelled and climbed. I repelled three times. I am actually pretty good at it. I can repel with an ATC one-handed. Then we went to our campsite. We spent an hour trying to put our first tent up, but it was broken, so then we spent another hour or so taking it down and putting up a new one. We climbed all over the massive rock that overlooks Nairobi. We had awsome cupcakes for breakfast, then had chai. Me, Jesse, Brent, Philip, and Alex went down alone to a big cliff, where me and Brent free-climbed a 100-foot near-vertical cliff. We came back down later and did it again, while Jesse and Philip acted retarded on a big rock. On the way down the mountain, I painted the perfect picture of an MK's life: sitting on the left side of the hood of a speeding 15-year-old Land Rover, riding along on a dusty rode at 40 kilometers an hour (it seems even faster when you are on the unprotected hood), and all the while, drinking a wonderful cold coke in a glass bottle. Ah...that's the life!

My First Post

Hello, friends, I am Jim Mixon, a missionary kid (MK) living in Nairobi, Kenya.

For my first post, I will tell you something about me. I love to read, and make almost all A's in school. Yes, I am smart, but not as athletic as some people. My favorite subjects are Science, History, and PE. I am actually homeschooled by my mom.

I have many obsessions. Harry Potter. Star Wars. Lord of the Rings. Baseball. I go through these like stages, one at a time, then start over. When I get a job, I want to be a Cinematographist, a movie director.
